This just in from Crookston, MN. The 13 year old All Star team lose 12 to 2 against Tonka in the second game of the State Championship. They were red hot until Championship Monday, but just couldn't solve Tonka!!! They lost the first game 12-9 to force this second game. Thank you Rick Tossey and your Coaches for a fine season, post season play and to all the boys for their dedication to a great season and some great baseball. Hope you all had a great time and lots of great memories from it! Congratulations on a great run and earning the East Twins 13 year old All Stars the 2008 State Champion Runner-Up!!!

This just in from Bemidji, MN. The 15 year old All Star team is the 2008 MN State Champions. They defeated Waite Park 19-12 and will now advance to the 2008 Midwest Plains Regional Tournament which is being held at Waite Park, MN. Congratulations Boys!!!

On Monday night East Twins 14 year old All Star team defeated Tonka 11-4 and became the 2008 State Champion. Up next is the 2008 Midwest Plains Regional Tournament which is being held at Albia, IA. Congratulations Boys!!!
Best of Luck to both the 14s & 15s as they represent East Twins in their Regional Tournament, all of us will be cheering and supporting them along their journey!

Teams Tournament Brackets: 14 Year Old State Tournament @ East Twins During the third day of the 14 year old state tournament, the ET host team played Waite Park with ET coming up short as they lost 10-0. With this being their second loss they have been eliminated from the tournament. Mean while Saturday, the East Twins-Red 14 year old team came back strong after trailing Bemidji to secure a win 7-2 win with a late game 5th inning and 7 runs earning them a 2-0 start to the tournament. On Sunday the ET 14's played a solid game against Tonka earning a 10-0 victory! Next up is the State Championship game @ 7:30 p.m. against the winner of Tonka/Richfield who square off @ 5:00 p.m.! East Twins 14's is now 3-0 in the tournament! 15 Year Old State Tournament @ Bemidji At the 15 year old state tournament, East Twins is 3-0 winning their game Friday 13-0 over Robbinsdale and then winning their game Saturday against cross town rivals Hi-Tower 12-1. On Sunday, East Twins got off to a fast start getting 2 runs in the first and 1 run in the second and then behind a solid pitching outing completed a 3-0 victory over Waite Park. Up next up is Waite Park in the Championship game, with Waite Park victory over Tonka 9-2 Sunday night in the losers bracket! With Tonka's victory and Waite Park hosting the Midwest Plains Regional Tournament our own East Twins 15 year old All Star team is going to the Regional Tournament @ Waite Park! First at hand is the State Championship game for the State Tournament on Monday @ 10:00 a.m. East Twins 15's is now 3-0 in the tournament! 13 Year Old State Tournament @ Crookston At the 13 year old state tournament, East Twins is 3-0 winning their game Friday 8-1 over Tonka, then winning their game Saturday against Warroad 12-2 and then Sunday's victory 10-0 over Waite Park! Up next is Tonka again who worked their way all the way back in the losers bracket to face East Twins again with Tonka's victory over Waite Park 13-9! East Twins State Championship game is @ 10:00 a.m. on Monday @ 10:00 a.m.! East Twins 13's is now 3-0 in the tournament! Good Luck to all the East Twins All Star Teams at their State Tournaments! The 12 year olds played hard but came up short losing 2 very close game going 0-2 in Baxter. The 11 year olds played well and finished 3rd place in the state tournament only losing twice to Baxter @ the State Tournament @ Waite Park! Congratulation on your nice state tournament run and your 3rd place finish!

15 Year Old All Stars Click here to view the 15's tournament bracket 15 Year Old District Tournament @ East Twins July 18 - July 21, 2008 Before you know it East Twins playoffs will be completed and then comes post season play for our own East Twins All Star Teams! This year we will be hosting the 15 Year Old District Tournament at East Twins, in which we will need all the 15 year old families to help participate in working towards a successful tournament so that our Manager and Coaches can get our team prepared to "Play Ball" without distractions and hopefully qualify for the state tournament!!! We all have a huge amount of "Pride" in our program and it is our families and volunteers that help make this all a huge success! 14 Year Old East Twins All Stars The a second team will be put together by the second place manager if they chooses to take the team and will represent East Twins as our intact team to play in the 13 year old intact state tournament to be held in Cold Spring on July 31st thru August 3, 2008. This tournament host a lot of out state teams and is a lot of fun. We sent a team last year and they finished 4th and had a blast participating in the tournament! Once again, this give another group of coaches and players a chance at additional baseball and post season play! "Play Ball" |
