** East Twins Registration and Tryout Information **

 

Babe Ruth League, Inc. is a non-profit, educational organization dedicated to developing better citizens by providing properly supervised baseball competition for 5 through 18-year-old players. Established in 1951 and incorporated in 1952, there are now over 6,300 leagues and more than 43,800 teams in the United States and Canada.

League Overview
East Twins baseball was established in 1954. It is a 100% non-profit volunteer organization which serves Maplewood, St. Paul, Oakdale, North St. Paul & White Bear Lake as well as other east metro communities. No board member, officer, team manager, team coach or assistant coach receives any compensation for their time contributed to the baseball organization.

Facilities
The lighted East Twins field is located on the corner of Larpenteur Ave. & Prosperity Rd. The dimensions of the field make it competitive for 13-15 yr. olds. The Cal Ripken field, which is located across the street, has smaller dimensions for the younger players. .

How East Twins Works!
 

Cal Ripken Baseball - Cal Ripken League (formerly Bambino) is for 10-12 yr. olds. Their season starts early May and runs through late July. East Twins provides a sponsored league for teams in their area. Cal Ripken players play an average of 20 games on up kept fields. Possible post season action includes; State Tournament, Midwest Plains Regional Tournament, and the Cal Ripken World Series which is broadcast on Versus.  If you would like to enter a team or your child is interested in participating, email Cal Ripken Commissioner Dan Aliperto - ETCalRipken@aol.com

13 Year Old Prep League - The 13 Year Old Prep League teams will play an average of 20 games.  The 13's will play most home games at East Twins. Once again, we will be playing inter-league games with Home and Away games being hosted by East Twins, and Ford Field in St. Paul. The season starts in mid May and runs through late July. Possible post season action includes; District Tournament, State Tournament, Midwest Plains Regional Tournament, and the Babe Ruth 13 Year Old World Series.  For more information or to enter a team, please contact Doug Dickenson

14 - 15 Year Olds - Tryouts for the 14-15's starts early April and the season runs through late July. There are six teams that play a minimum of 20 games. The 14-15 yr. olds are provided full uniforms, jackets, fitted hats, and an opportunity offered for an out of town trip.
